It was good to see this statement on the
Prime Minister's website:
Caretaker Notice: During the caretaker period (starting 17 October 2007), the Prime Minister's transcripts will not be available on this site. They will be available from the Liberal Party Website which is not maintained or funded by the Commonwealth of Australia.
As Gary Sauer-Thompson noted
the caretaker period is one of great stress for the civil service and often results in the executive pushing the boundaries.
Unfortunately I wanted the policy on the tax cuts that were announced the other day from the Liberal Party website. The link to
policy and plans contains no such 'policy and plans'. I cannot find it at all on their website. In fact most of their links are without substance.
In actual fact for finding any election policy at all the Liberal Party website gets a big fail from me. In even a glancing comparison the Labor Party's website has a far more indepth
policy page.
Update I
Finding the tax brackets announced by the Liberal Party was hard in the mainstream media as well. Most peppered it with horse-race sentences. Andrew Leigh has the
best coverage of the tax cuts and a direct link to the policy document on the Liberal Party website.
Tim Dunlop's Blogocracy also has better coverage of the issue than mainstream media, mainly by supplying primary sources. How novel.

Most Popular Hikes in Arizona
Arizona is an outdoor state and has lots of hiking in the city and around the state. Phoenix is unusual for most cities in having several large mountains in the center of the city with great hiking. Anyone who comes to Phoenix has to do the
Echo Canyon trail on Camelback and the
Summit Hike on Squaw Peak or Piesta Peak. The views of the city, suburbs and surrounding mountains are wonderful from Camelback and Piesta Peak.
For more experienced hikers there is the McDowell Mountains in North Scottsdale that has several difficult and strenuous hikes in
Tom's Thumb and
Bell Pass. Alternatively, you can hike the highest mountain in Arizona. At 12,600 feet
Humphrey's Peak is a long and difficult hike.

Who Is Cam Riley
I am an Australian living in the United States as a permanent resident.
I am a software developer by trade and mostly work in Java and jump between middleware and front end.
I originally worked in the New York area of the United States in telecommunications before moving to Washington DC and
